Enjoy a comforting and flavorful one-pan meal featuring tender chicken breasts in a creamy Parmesan garlic sauce with sautéed mushrooms. This easy skillet dish is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove chicken and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet. Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms; sauté until mushrooms are browned and soft, about 5 minutes.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over the top. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes to combine flavors.
  6. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.
