Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups red velvet cake crumbs
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, for dusting
  • Optional: extra red food coloring for a vibrant hue

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the red velvet cake crumbs and softened cream cheese until well combined and smooth.
  2. Form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Freeze the cake balls for 15 minutes to firm up.
  4. Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  5. If desired, add a few drops of red food coloring to the melted white chocolate and stir well.
  6. Using a fork or skewer, dip each cake ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated.
  7. Place the coated truffles back on the parchment paper and let them set at room temperature or refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  8. Once set, generously dust the truffles with powdered sugar to create the snowball effect.
  9. Store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

For an extra festive touch, sprinkle crushed peppermint candy on top of the chocolate coating before it sets.
