  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and dried thyme on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken breasts and sear until golden brown, about 4 minutes per side.
  4. Remove chicken and set aside.
  5. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
  7. Stir in heavy cream and butter until melted and combined.
  8. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, cover, and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and tender.
  9. Serve warm with the creamy sauce spooned over the top.
