Keto Italian Meatballs with Marinara Sauce

Delicious keto-friendly Italian meatballs simmered in a rich homemade marinara sauce, perfect for a low-carb dinner option.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups sugar-free marinara sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Parmesan, almond flour, egg, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper; mix until just combined.
  3. Form mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake meatballs for 15-18 minutes until cooked through and browned.
  5. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add the marinara sauce.
  6. Add the baked meatballs to the sauce and simmer for 5 minutes to absorb flavors.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley or Parmesan if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce or serve the meatballs over zoodles or cauliflower rice.
