Garlic Butter Sauted Green Beans and Mushrooms

A quick and flavorful side dish featuring crisp green beans and tender mushrooms sautéed in rich garlic butter, perfect for complementing any meal.

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp olive oil (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add butter (and olive oil if using) until melted.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the green beans and mushrooms to the skillet. Stir to coat with butter and garlic.
  4. Cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until green beans are crisp-tender and mushrooms are browned.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired.
  7. Serve warm as a side dish.

Notes

For extra flavor, drizzle with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice before serving or sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
