Christmas Morning Quiche

This Christmas Morning Quiche is a festive and savory baked egg dish loaded with cheese, spinach, and holiday spices, perfect for a cozy holiday breakfast.

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked spinach, drained
  • 1/4 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until well combined.
  4. Evenly spread the cooked spinach, bacon, and red bell pepper over the pie crust.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the vegetables and sprinkle Gruyère cheese on top.
  6. Bake in preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, until the quiche is set and golden brown on top.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes before garnishing with fresh chives and slicing.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, omit bacon and add sautéed mushrooms or roasted cherry tomatoes instead.
