Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese, halved
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 12 pickle slices
  • 12 small lettuce leaves
  • 12 tomato slices
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional: ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Separate Hawaiian rolls and hollow out the inside slightly.
  3. In a bowl, season ground beef with salt, pepper, and chopped onion; mix well.
  4. Form the beef into 12 small patties, about the size of the rolls.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook patties for 3-4 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
  6. Place cooked patties on the bottom halves of the rolls. Top each patty with a half slice of cheddar cheese.
  7. Place the sliders on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 5 minutes, or until the cheese melts.
  8. Remove sliders from oven and add pickles, lettuce, and tomato slices on top of the cheese.
  9. Spread desired condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise) on the top halves of the rolls.
  10. Assemble sliders and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding caramelized onions or a slice of crispy bacon inside each slider before baking. These sliders also pair wonderfully with sweet potato fries or a fresh coleslaw.
