Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Pour in the marinara sauce and bring to a simmer. Cook for 3-4 minutes to warm through.
  4. Reduce heat to low and stir in the heavy cream until fully incorporated and sauce is creamy.
  5. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes, stirring until the cheese melts and sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  7. Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet and gently toss to coat them evenly in the creamy marinara sauce.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle with additional Parmesan and serve with a side of garlic bread or a fresh green salad.
